Coach dewayne "mook" dickens
Dewayne “Mook” Dickens has been with Keen Vision for 2 years. A graduate of Abbott Tech, Mook led Connecticut in scoring in 2001, earned All-State honors, and finished with over 1,000 points. He continued his basketball career at WestConn (DIII) and Southern University at Shreveport (DI), and later served as Assistant Basketball Coach at Abbott Tech for 8 years. Mook also referees basketball for various NY/CT leagues. Mook mentors youth through the Danbury Student and Business Connection and supports individuals with disabilities at Ability Beyond, while also working full-time. He shares KV’s commitment to developing young people not just in sports, but in all aspects of life. As a father of two, Mook is eager to raise his young son through the program.


Coach Manny Gutierrez
Coach Manny Gutierrez, a former youth basketball player from Hollis, Queens, and LeFrak City, has been with KV for over 10 years. Seeing a need for mentorship, Manny and Keenan formed a team to teach life lessons through basketball, eventually coaching Keenan's son, Keyon, and his friends during their formative years. Competing in top tournaments up and down the East Coast, many KV players advanced to high school and college. Manny also helped bring the FCIAC championship to DHS after a 26-year drought, marking a key milestone in his KV journey. Now, Manny coaches his son and continues to inspire the next generation of players.


Coach akmin "aye" Gutierrez
Coach Aye has been with KV for two years, bringing three years of prior coaching experience. A former player on junior high and high school teams, as well as travel teams sponsored by Reebok and Nike, Coach Aye has a strong basketball background. As a head coach, his team won two championships in the Danbury Dome league. Outside of basketball, Coach Aye is a dedicated volunteer, supporting organizations like Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and Junior Achievement. He values KV’s holistic approach to development, focusing on skill-building, sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and trust in young athletes.


Coach keyon moore
Keyon Moore has been with KV since its inception, first as a player and now as a coach to the younger generation. Playing basketball since the age of 4, Keyon’s passion for the game is palpable. In addition to playing on the AAU circuit, Keyon attended Danbury High School, where he won a championship in his junior year and was an All-Star in his senior year. He currently plays at Bryant & Stratton College in Albany and refs basketball for various NY/CT leagues. Keyon is the son of Coach Keenan Moore.

Keenan Moore co-founded Keen Vision in 2012, inspired by his brother to create a program where Danbury players could proudly represent their hometown. In addition to forming teams, Keen Vision offers free fundamentals clinics to give back to the community. Today, Coach Moore’s program continues to grow, serving players across the city and beyond. Known for his family-oriented, transparent, and disciplined approach, he instills these values in his players. A student of the game and experienced referee in Connecticut and New York, Coach Moore has a strong basketball network. He believes in giving every child a chance to succeed, often telling his players, “It’s at Keen Vision where we come to make our mistakes.”
